Project Details
In Spring 2024, Sonder, my project with Teagan Lefevre of Le’eaf & Co., got a fresh new look. The nature area off the main village square is now Sonder Park, featuring a cozy gazebo, a fun ferris wheel, a merry-go-round, and a game deck with checkers and more. (shown above)
The main square is now even more inviting with a new water feature and a charming flower cart with seating. Visitors can also grab a bike and explore the area. On the upper level, we introduced the Diner Depot, a vintage passenger train turned diner, nestled beside a new canal.
We revamped the upper area, replacing the old townhomes and shops with two live/work spaces and the Loaf & Ladle, a cozy artisan soup and sandwich shop. Mystic Musings Tarot found its new home in one of the live/work spaces, while the other is currently available for rent.
Our rural area expanded, adding more land and five new rental properties. We also introduced a serene lake, perfect for ducks, geese, and the occasional swimmer.
New community hangout spots like the lakeside deck and a wildlife area buzzing with beehives, birds, and other pollinators complete the transformation.
In April 2024, we proudly unveiled the MyStory Garden, Sonder Orchards, and Sonder Cider Co. Our visitors can now enjoy picking fresh apples at Sonder Orchards and then kick back and relax with a refreshing drink at Sonder Cider Co.
