Project Description:
Described by Inara Pey as having an “an almost winter-streets-of-New-York-meets-Dickens’-Victorian-England vibe”, the whimsical winter/Christmas version of Cornelia Street is also one of my favorite versions of this build. The street itself stayed mostly the same with the brownstones lining one side of the cobblestone street and the other side lined with a Christmas tree lot, hot chocolate stand and more. There was a new addition to this version of Cornelia street though. The brownstones were re-worked to allow room for the addition of a small book shop called “Best of Times Book Shop.”
The sounds of Christmas carols mixed with the sound of the softly falling snow to help create a magical space. I really tried hard to capture that NYC street holiday vibe and even Toe Beans Cat Café & Rescue, which was moved over from across the road to the end of Cornelia Street for this build, got a holiday makeover!
Winter Wonders of Cornelia Street was a Destination Guide Editors Pick for November 2022. It was also featured in the Highlights from the Second Life Destination Guide for the week of November 18, 2022.
